About The Hub

The Hub is a free co-working space in Slemani, open to entrepreneurs, startups and small teams who need a place to work and the support to grow. There's no membership fee and no cost to access the space, mentorship, guidance or the network — the model is built on removing that barrier entirely, not lowering it.

An idea only becomes a business through implementation — a plan, the right people, and enough resource to survive the early stage. For most first-time founders, that last part is what's missing, and the risk of committing money to something unproven is what stops them. 

The Hub is part of The Foundation, working alongside its other initiatives across the wider ecosystem. This means the support on offer isn't limited to desk space: it connects to training, legal and administrative advice, mentoring and a broader network of programmes and people working on entrepreneurship and development across the region.
 

That network extends well beyond the region. The Hub works with a wide range of international organisations, and international collaboration is something we actively seek rather than occasionally accommodate. Our vision is borderless innovation: good ideas and useful partnerships don't stop at a border, and neither should the support behind them.
 

The Hub was established under the patronage of H.E. Qubad Talabani, reflecting a long-standing commitment to building the conditions for entrepreneurship to grow in Kurdistan and Iraq. That commitment shapes how The Hub operates: it isn't sector-specific or scale-specific. A first-time founder testing an early idea and an established team scaling a business are both welcome here — innovation matters whether it's small or large, and in any sector.
 

At its core, The Hub exists to connect people who are building something with the guidance, mentorship and network that make building easier.
